________________________________
The Killam speaker for May 22, 2007 is Dr. James Q. Zheng from the
Robert Woods Johnson Medical School, Department of Neuroscience and Cell
Biology, University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. James' lab
investigates the molecular mechanisms underlying growth cone guidance,
and over the past decade these investigations have provided seminal
insights into the roles of calcium, lipid rafts, protein kinase A, and
protein synthesis in axon extension. James' lecture is entitled, Spatial
signaling and directional control of nerve growth cones during axon
guidance. Please join us for an engaging seminar.
