[BIC-announce] MR & PET Scanning schedules

To all MR and PET research scan users:

As some of you are already aware, the BIC scheduling system is undergoing some changes. As of March 2006 a new BIC website will be available to researchers wanting to reserve time on the 1.5T MR, 3T MR, PET ECAT, and MicroPET research scanners. The new system will be more efficient.

Researchers will be able to verify the schedule and know after 24 hours (except on weekends) whether or not the requested time has been granted. This also means that anyone making a request for MR or PET scanning time will have the responsibility of verifying the online calendar 24 hours after the request has been sent to the BIC. Once the time is posted to the online schedule, the researcher will be held responsible for this timeslot. The BIC will no longer send booking confirmations by email. 

There will also be other important changes to the booking and cancellation policies for all scanners. I strongly advise everyone to take the time to read them once they are posted. I will send out another email when the website is available to everyone. 

Please note that the PET and MR schedules for the month of February are posted on the old website. If you have requested time please see the schedule (MR users - there is still plenty of time available). 

 

Any requests for time after the month of February will be posted to the new calendar.
