REMINDER
*****SPECIAL LECTURE*****
Today - Wednesday, February 22, 2006
Speaker: David L. Van Vactor, Ph.D.
Dr. David Van Vactor is an Associate Professor of Cell Biology at Harvard. His research focuses on axon guidance in the developing nervous system. He uses a combined genetic and biochemical approach in drosophila to tease apart pathways by which extracellular guidance signals affect the cytoskeleton and differential growth in growth cones. Some of these pathways also play a role in synapse formation.
Note that Dr. Van Vactor is a candidate for a faculty position at the MNI. It is important that we evaluate him carefully and that we give him a good impression of the MNI and McGill. PLEASE ATTEND HIS SEMINAR. If you care to comment on Dr. Van Vactor as a potential colleague please contact me (john.robson at mcgill.ca).
