This week's Killam speaker is Nelson Spruston from Northwestern
University. Nelson is an expert in the study of dendritic excitability
being one of the first to show dendritic back-propagation of action
potentials and dendritic generation of sodium and calcium spikes. Much
of his current interest is to understand how active properties of
dendrites can contribute to synaptic integration, firing pattern
generation and plasticity. Nelson is an excellent speaker and I am sure
he will provide an exciting lecture.
