Title: A Neuronal Mechanism for Visual Spatial Attention

 

Dr. Wurtz has been a leader in the field of sensorimotor neurophysiology for almost 40 years.  He has been a pioneer in the use of awake behaving monkeys to study the neural control of eye movements and visual attention.  He is a past President of the Society for Neuroscience, a member of the National Academy of Sciences (USA) and was the co-recipient of the Dan David Prize in 2004.  Dr. Wurtz is an excellent speaker and is certain to give a stimulating presentation.

 

A reception will follow Dr. Wurtz's seminar in the Helen Penfield Atrium.
