 Dear Colleagues,

Diomedes Logothetis (Mount Sinai School of Medicine, New York) is our Killam speaker this week, Dec. 13th at 4:00. The title of his seminar is "The signaling phospholipid PIP2 as a central regulator of ion channel function" and he is working on important interactions between membrane components and ion channel activity.
His recent paper in Nature Neuroscience (Rohacs et al., 2005) relates to novel mechanisms of modulation for sensory TRP channels, and he is also known for his work on several classes of K channels playing critical roles in neuronal excitability. Diomedes is an enthusiastic speaker, please come to enjoy an exciting seminar.

Regards,

Philippe Séguéla
