Hi all, I'm sending out the reminder for next week's call a little earlier, as I wanted to update you all on some recruitment timetables.
For EP, sites have done an INCREDIBLE with recruitment over the last year, though it's evident we'll not be able to hit 250 babies by August (we recognize this has been a tough hill to climb with the attrition that comes from not getting good V6 scan data or losing families for various reasons later in the process). John/Joe discussed this with site PIs last week - they feel like we should continue to shoot for our goal, even if that takes us into the fall. (Seeing some of these families through V24 visits might ultimately be dependent on IBIS receiving supplement/renewal funding, but we think it's wise to continue to ID/enroll these families given our recent progress). So we're asking sites to continue to recruit/screen/enroll through the fall, and where possible, to shoot for 53-54 babies to account for attrition. Given that we now have an extended window of potential V6 visit dates, Dr. Pruett is extending our Build Clinical campaign 1 more month (through 6/21). We will evaluate in a few weeks where sites are with lead generation as to whether to extend another month (so please also track how many potential leads you still have and are outreaching).
All of you should have existing BC leads of babies born from March 2024 on - you may/may not have contacted these families to tell them about the study, but please start outreaching these families to see if they are still interested. Target any families with a potential V6 visit up to December. I have a master list of ALL BC leads since we started, so if you need me to re-send any of your site's leads, just let me know. Also, continue to maximize any local recruitment opportunities you have (clinics, EHR/MyChart, etc).
For DS, this has been mentioned on Large/BCC calls, but we are following the same recruitment assumptions - continue recruiting past August to hit your site goals with either V6 or V12 entrants.
See you all next Tuesday, May 28 from 11:30-12:30 Central. Don't forget to ensure your recruitment ID numbers are up-to-date in the excel file at least one hour before our meeting.
