Post Doc Announcement – CHOP (reposting)
Please share the following with anyone and everyone you think may be interested:
We are seeking postdoctoral fellows with an interest in computational approaches for measuring human facial and bodily behavior to better understand behavioral manifestations of mental health conditions, such as Autism. The ideal candidate will hold a Ph.D. in Bioengineering, Psychology, Neuroscience, Engineering, Statistics, or related fields and have prior experience in multivariate data analysis (e.g., brain connectivity, psychological data, behavioral signals). The research is conducted at the University of Pennsylvania (UPenn) and the Center for Autism Research (CAR) at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), as a part of multiple NIH grants studying social behavior in Autism. The applicant will be part of a big multidisciplinary team that develops computational tools to quantify children’s and adults’ social behavior (e.g., facial expressions, body actions) using AI in the context of natural interactions. The applicant will contribute to this research by designing and running experiments with in-house clinical data, leading publications and research dissemination efforts, and collaborating on the development of new computational approaches.
