Hi all - as discussed in our recruitment call, Kelly Caravella at UNC has a study to understand the experience of Black/African American caregivers and participating in autism research (no age restrictions). The attached flier/recruitment language below are IRB approved. Feel free to share this with families who may be eligible.

Thank you for expressing interest in learning more about our research studies. At this time, we are recruiting participants for a study that aims to gather the opinions of Black families about participating in autism research and hopes to amplify and accurately represent the voices and experiences of Black families of children with autism. In order to enroll, participants must be a Black/African American parent/caregiver of at least one Black child with autism spectrum disorder. Participation will involve a phone interview that will take ~1 hour, no travel is required. We will ask questions about your family, your child's autism diagnosis, and your opinions about research. You will receive $50 in compensation after completing the study.
