Sleep paralysis is a normal feature of REM sleep. However, some people lose this muscle atonia and start acting out their dreams, a parasomnia called REM sleep behavior disorder (RBD). RBD is recognized as a strong marker of an incipient synucleinopathy, with
the vast majority of patients developing dementia with Lewy bodies or Parkinson’s disease. In this talk, I will highlight my research work in the field of brain imaging and computational neuroscience in isolated RBD. Specifically, this talk will dive into
the prodromal brain changes associated with isolated RBD and focus on how observations of brain atrophy can be used to predict disease progression and uncover some of the mechanistic bases of neurodegeneration in synucleinopathies</span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Advances the vision of Dr. William Feindel (1918–2014), Former Director of the Neuro (1972–1984), to constantly bridge the clinical and research realms. The talks will highlight
the latest advances and discoveries in neuropsychology, cognitive neuroscience, and neuroimaging.</span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Speakers will include scientists from across The Neuro, as well as colleagues and collaborators locally and from around the world. The series is intended to provide a virtual
