</span><span style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Advances in magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) technologies are providing the capability to probe the structure of the brain non-invasively at unprecedented spatial scales, promising major neuroscientific
and clinical benefits. Ultra-high field strength scanners are enabling higher resolution images to capture meso-scale structure, but not without new challenges in acquisition and image processing. This talk will describe recent work in our lab to address these
issues, through the development of computational neuroimaging approaches informed by the intrinsic biology and anatomy of the brain. We will show how new computational models of anatomy are made possible with higher resolution imaging, offering new insights
into the well studied hippocampus, and how we are developing and validating quantitative MRI techniques to study microstructure.</span></p>
<p style="text-align:justify;line-height:15.0pt"><b><span style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif;color:black">The Feindel Virtual Brain and Mind (VBM) Seminar Series</span></b><span style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif;color:black"><br>
Advancing the vision of Dr. William Feindel (1918–2014), former Director of the Neuro (1972–1984) and Founding Director of the McConnell Brain Imaging Centre (1984), to constantly bridge the clinical and research realms. The talks will highlight the latest
advances and discoveries in neuropsychology, cognitive neuroscience, and neuroimaging.</span></p>
<p style="text-align:justify;line-height:15.0pt"><span style="font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif;color:black">Speakers will include scientists from across The Neuro, as well as colleagues and collaborators locally and from around the world. The
