Neuro Procedure

Updated Research Brain Scanning Procedures for December 23 to January 11

The Government of Quebec has announced new COVID measures from December 17 to January 10 meant to target sectors of high transmission and restrict high-risk, non-essential activities.

We are therefore implementing the following restrictions on research involving brain scanning of human subjects:

December 23 – January 3
Research involving brain scans of human subjects is now paused for the holidays.

January 4 – January 11
Resumption of research activities involving scans of subjects involved in ongoing clinical trials only as well as preclinical scans.  Until further notice, no other brain imaging activities will be allowed as of January 4.

These directives will be reassessed after January 11.
