Alex’ work aims to understand the neurophysiological and psychophysical underpinnings of attention in healthy aging and age-related disorders. Although still a senior grad student, he has already published 9 peer-reviewed articles as main author (24 as co-author) in Brain, Cerebral Cortex, Neurology, Neuroimage, Human Brain Mapping, etc. He has won prestigious support from the NIH for his grad studies. Alex is now leading a large, NIH-funded investigation of visuospatial processing in mild cognitive impairment and Alzheimer's disease. This multimodal study includes collection of big MEG data, functional and structural MRI, PET with florbetapir, mitochondrial energetics, SNP genotyping, and an extensive neuropsychological battery. Alex is visiting Montreal and the MNI and is considering joining the Baillet lab in the spring of 2020.

Best wishes,

Sylvain.
