INFORMATION

We would like to invite applications to a full-time research assistant position in the Neurovascular Imaging Laboratory (LINeV, PI Rick Hoge), affiliated with the UNF/CRIUGM and Université de Montréal.

The position entails a variety of duties related to data analysis and management of computer systems used by LINeV. These include the analysis of functional neuroimaging data for our lab and collaborators using a variety of well-known packages such as FSL, CIVET/MINC tools, as well as custom software developed within the lab (NeuroLens). The ideal applicant would have experience in programming Macintosh computers or iPhone/iPad, allowing them to aid in development of NeuroLens software modules used by our group for quantitative image analysis. The position will involve testing of new software modules, assistance with documentation, and training and support of software users.

There will also be some light IT support for training workshops and academic classes in an interactive computer lab (LINeV/PCAN). Advanced system administration skills are not required but the successful applicant must have strong fluency in MacOSX and be available to support IT consultants performing advanced administration tasks from off-site. Due to the various support roles, the position requires physical presence at our site during business hours. The applicant must have strong communication skills (written, spoken) in both French and English.

The LINeV is a world leading group in quantitative functional neuroimaging, as well as in the development of innovative technologies for analysis of neuroimaging data. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain experience in novel image analysis methods in a multi-disciplinary environment with exposure to both academic and industrial practices.

Note that we are seeking to fill this position for September 2012. For further information please contact Anne-Marie Bédard at anne-marie.bedard at criugm.qc.ca<mailto:anne-marie.bedard at criugm.qc.ca>
