Killam Lecture

Speaker:  Michael Meaney, PhD

Douglas Mental Health, University Institute

Title: Epigenetic Neuroscience: Nature and Nurture

Date:  TODAY

Time:  4pm

Place:  de Grandpre Communication Centre

===========================================

I am very pleased to be hosting Michael Meaney as the MNI/Killam seminar speaker for Tuesday Nov 30 (4:00 pm, de Grandpre Communications Centre).

Michael is one of McGill's best-known scientists internationally. His work on environmental/experiential effects on the genome and on life-long behavioral states, has made him a leader - the leader - in a contentious and extremely significant scientific arena: behavioral patterning through early-life experience.

The subject has a high intrinsic interest for basic biology and for medicine, but in addition to that, Michael is a very gifted communicator. Even if you don't know the field, you will find the seminar of great interest. All the more so if you have any pre-existing insight.

I hope you can join us for a very stimulating lecture.

All the best.

Ken
